Tilicho Lake Trek - 18 Days
It is one of the highest altitude treks in the world with greater variety of scenery and traditional culture found nowhere else in other regions in Nepal. The rugged and picturesque trail takes you to the highest altitude crystal-clear lake Tilicho at 4919 m. dotted with wild flowers, and offer superb view of the Himalayan range in Upper Mustang region. The trail via Tilicho Lake and the two passes Masokanto La 5099m and Tilicho Pass that guard Kaligandaki valley and beyond is still remote and a few tourists trek to this area. This trek gives you a wild sense of adventure and cultural exploration being reached at the last village of Nepal.
Itineraries
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Trek preparation day
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Besi Sahar & trek to Khudi
Day 04: Trek to Bahundanda (1.300 m)
Day 05: Trek to Chamje (1.500m)
Day 06: Trek to Darapani
Day 07: Trek to Chame (2713m)
Day 08: Trek to Chame (2.900m)
Day 09: Trek to Pisang (3.185m)
Day 10: Trek to Manang (3351m)
Day 11: Rest day at Manang for acclimatization
Day 12: Trek to Khangsar (3.750m)
Day 13: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4.200m)
Day 14: Early morning trek to Tilicho Lake and back to TBC.
Day 15: Trekking to Manang
Day 16: Trek to Hungde airport (Or, trekking continues to Round Annapurna if the trekkers prefer)
Day 17: Fly from Hungde to Pokhara and free time in Pokhara
Day 18: Drive/Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
