Annapurna Circuit Trekking Nepal It is one of the world’s classic treks which offer stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and Himalayan experiences of dramatic changes of terrain from sub-tropical to a high altitude semi-desert similar to Tibet. The difficult part of the trek is Thorang La Pass at the top of the valley at 5416m. This trek is an excellent introduction to walking in Nepal for those who are confident of their fitness. Due to the difficulties of crossing the pass, the circuit normally starts anti-clockwise from Beshisahar, follows the river Marshyangdi while enjoying mesmerizing views of Mt. Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. To the west of Muktinath there lies the world's deepest gorge of Kaligandaki.
